French Breakfast Puffs

Ingredients:

  1. ⅓ Cup Butter (softened)
  2. ½ Cup Sugar
  3. 1 Egg
  4. 1 ½ cups Flour
  5. 1 ½ teaspoons Baking powder
  6. ½ teaspoon Salt
  7. ¼ teaspoon Nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°

  2. Sift together dry ingredients

  3. Add flour mixture alternately with 1/2 cup milk to the butter mixture. (Yes..alternately...about a third at a time. It makes a difference!)

  4. Bake in paper lined muffin tin at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.

  5. Melt 6 tablespoons of butter.

  6. As soon as the muffins come out of the oven dip the  tops in the butter then into the cinnamon sugar mixture. (1/2 cup sugar+ 1 teaspoon cinnamon)
